This was long overdue. It has been almost 9 years since the inauguration of this site. It has been mostly dormant for the last 4-5 years while I was focusing on my other Collections. There is a new section in the website about First and Special Day covers in my collection. You will find the link on the left in the main menu. This area is not one of my collection interests but I have acquired some through time and continue to get new ones through subscription. I hope this will serve as a reference to those of you who are interested in this area.
On this subject I also would like to share a wonderful book of Mr. Kaya Dorsan, "Turkish Commemorative Postmarks (1923-2000)" which is truly a wonderful reference book.

Special day cover with the value of 1,50 TL due to 400th Year of Diplomatic Relations between Turkey and Holland will be put up for sale at the date of 03.09.2012. At the same date special date postmark with the text of "Türkiye Hollanda Diplomatik İlişkilerin 400. Yılı 03.09.2012 ANKARA" will be used in the philately booth at the address of Ulus PTT Merkez Müdürlüğü Ulus-ANKARA.
Also, special date stamped covers on the subject will be sold at www.filateli.gov.tr.

Due to August 30 Victory Day a stamp exhibition will be held between the dates of 29-31.08.2012 at the address of Ankamall Shopping Center-ANKARA; a special date postmark with the text of "30 Ağustos Zafer Bayramı Pul Sergisi 30.08.2012 ANKARA" will be used at the date of 30.08.2012 by taking working hours into consideration.
